Amanda Sanchez was born on November 7th 1986 to the parents of Cindy Sanchez and George Sanchez. Amanda was
a very happy baby. When Amanda was in Kindergarden they did a concert called "Mickeymouse." Amanda sang the song
"Lets go fly a kite" (from Mary Poppens). It was her very 1st concert, and she liked it a lot. (1994) 1st
grade she was in the play "Goldielocks and the 3 bears." She was Goldielocks, she says "It was interesting."
5th and 6th grade she was in elementry choir. (She didn't like the teacher.) The teacher hit one of her best friends. While
she was in middle school (7th-8th grade) she was in choir. She liked the teacher a lot. (his name was Mr. B). If Mr. B is
out there she would like to say "Thanks for everything!" In 7th and 8th grade Amanda was in
talent shows. When she was in 7th grade she sang "Crazy" by Britney Spears, and in 8th she sang "This
I promise you" by *//\\//SYNC. (she didn't win) Also in 7th grade, she went to America Sings. She got 2 solos for the
concert. In 8th grade Amanda was in "The Wizard of Oz" She wasn't the lead, but she was an Ozian (a person
that made the leads look pretty in Oz). In 9th grade, she joined Aeolian Choir (all girl Choir). They went to FL
for a candlelight processional. They had to do two performances on a hot stage, holding electric candles. Her Parents said they were
really good! March 14th, 2002 Streamwood had a "Liberty" concert. AMANDA GOT A SOLO!!! She sang the states in ABC
order, starting slow moved to faster and faster It was called "The 50 States in Rhyme." (this will do her very well
when she has to know the 50 states in ABC order) (she could sing it to you NOW!) ALABAMA AND ALASKA ARIZONA
ARKANSAS.....just kidding! For solo ensemble contest Amanda particpated in both solo (one person singing) and ensemble.
She sang "Panis Angelicus" (latin) for a solo. For ensemble she sang with a group of people and Sang "Cantate
Domino" (spainish). She got 1st place! YAY!
She will be going to solo ensemble contest this year also.
Coming up in March she's going to solo ensemble contest, and shes going to NY. March 7th Amanda will be in
the Talent show, everyone go leave her a message wishing her good luck!! Amanda has transferred schools. She says "it's
been a challenge but I love it so far!" She loves her new director Mr. Heise. If you're out there she would like to say
"it's been a pleasure to work with you what with you being Max's friend." She wishes everyone a "Merry XMAS and
Happy New Year! 2004 finally!"
